Story from Jam Press (Hairdresser Styles Boyfriend) // Pictured: Geoff and his girlfriend, Heidi. // Hairdresser experiments with boyfriend’s hair for fun in wacky up-dos to lighten up the mood after shutting down salon during coronavirus outbreak // A talented hairdresser has experimented crazy hairstyles on her boyfriend to pass time after she was forced to shut down her salon during the coronavirus outbreak. Heidi Lee Oley, from Atlanta, Georgia, @heidileeoley on Instagram has temporarily shut down her salon, Chroma Station Salon, after the US went on lockdown amid the coronavirus epidemic. Heidi and her boyfriend Geoff, who works as a software engineer, have been staying in her family’s cabin in north Georgia and haven’t left the house apart from getting essential groceries. Feeling restless while in quarantine, Heidi decided to play with Geoff’s hair for fun and uploaded a photo of him in a George Washington hairstyle on Facebook which has since gone viral. Since then, Heidi has been experimenting with different hairstyles on Geoff including an Amy Winehouse tease, a flowery prom hairdo and Yoda style buns. She hopes the wacky hairstyles can help put a smile on people’s faces and lighten up the mood as thousands of people across the world have been let off from work and quarantined. Heidi said: “We haven’t been leaving the house, only for food, which is a shock from city life but it’s what has to be done to flatten the coronavirus curve. “I knew I’d be out of work for weeks, possibly months, so when he was on the computer I started curling it and was like ‘I’m going to make you look like George Washington.’ I posted it to a few hair forums on Facebook and they loved it.” “I kept up with it because the responses were so uplifting. “Our industry, among others, is in limbo, we don’t have clients, we don’t get paid, many are self-employed. “The love we received is why we kept the series going. I wanted to be a little glimmer of light during the shadows of the uncertainty of our industry.” Heidi now gets several requests online for different types of hairstyles to do on Geoff. She added: “It’s fun for me, he likes his hair played with, win-win. He has a heart of gold for letting me do this and post it. “His hair is the best! It’s very curly,” the stylist said. “When we came to the cabin, I only [had] my curling iron, I left all my tools at my salon, so I’m using tools from the grocery store.” ENDS
